The lake tour around the Spitzingsee in the Mangfall Mountains is just the right route for families who like to go hiking with kids. The tour is about 3 km long and small or extended breaks are part of it, because there is a lot to discover along the way.

During the entire hike you can admire the magnificent view of the beautiful Spitzingsee with the mountains in the background. For the children the water is attractive. In summer, tired feet can cool off in the refreshing mountain lake. Those who park at the Stümpflingbahn get halfway to a beautiful playground right on the lake. Wooden playground equipment, which puts children’s motor skills to the test, can be found there. Directly opposite is the Spitzing Alm, which invites you to stop. From the terrace, you have the children in the nearby playground well in view.

The path around the lake is well prepared and you can walk well with the stroller. There are many showcases that tell about the wildlife in the forest. Kids love the small trails are off the way a nice change, so that really every child can make the way with fun and good mood.

If you are looking for a very nice opportunity to eat after or before the hike, we can recommend the Albert Link Hut of the German Alpine Club. To get there, you walk from the lake about 20 minutes to the year-round managed alpine pastures. A children’s playground, outdoor seating, a bread factory and above all a fabulous view reward the way there.
