Convivial beer garden in the middle of greenery!
Adjacent to the wooded area of the Forstenrieder Park in Würmtal is the Forsthaus Kasten beer garden. As an excursion destination for families, the Forsthaus Kasten is highly recommended. Either as a bicycle tour out of the city and into the countryside, but also by car the beer garden is easy to reach.
Typical Bavarian dishes are freshly prepared with local products. At the self-service counter you can get the Schmakerln and drinks and consume them directly on the green lawn or under chestnut trees.
For families there is also another area and the tables are right next to the small playground. So you have the offspring best in view, while you sit together in a cozy round. Behind the playground equipment is an animal enclosure with goats and donkeys. The children particularly enjoy watching them. Feeding is not allowed in this case.
For your information: The bouncy castles that were available in the beer garden until a while ago are currently not allowed to be set up because of the adjacent landscape conservation area Forstenrieder Park. But don’t worry, the kids still feel very comfortable in the Biergarten im Münchner Umland.
