This alp on Tegernsee’s local mountain, the Wallberg, has done it for us. Recently, the mountain hotel Altes Wallberghaus with restaurant was renovated and now enchants with modern Bavarian charm and mountain panorama, which you can enjoy in summer on the sun terrace.

The Alte Wallberghaus can be reached after an approx. 2.5-hour hike with children, starting at the Wallbergbahn valley station. The hike is very steep in parts, but easily doable with children. Above all, the first-class view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains make this hike a special highlight. If you prefer to start directly with the pleasure, you can use the Wallbergbahn and reach the Wallberghaus from the mountain station in just 15 minutes.

In addition to the delicious food, the children have room for fun and games in nature. Since an extra playground would be almost superfluous.

But not only to stop during the hike at the Tegernsee with children, the Old Wallberghaus offers itself. The lovingly furnished in a modern Bavarian style rooms and mountain sauna attract us magically and we are already looking forward to recharging our batteries during the overnight stay there.
