While traveling with children in Thailand don’t miss the hot springs near Chiang Mai!
Escaping the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai City, the hot springs San Kamphaengare a perfect place to go for families. They are located in a large spacious park with numerous flowers and plants around. Children love to walk around in the park and have fun on the playground. Next to the playground you find a picnic area. You can either bring your own food or you can go to one of the food stalls. They offer good snacks and fresh fruits.
The special feature: Buy a bamboo basket with fresh eggs and put them into the bubbling springs. So you have also a freshly cooked egg for your picnic! Especially for the locals this is a must have for their family excursion to the hot springs!
A duct system feeds various pools with different degrees of heat, such as 30/40 or 60 degrees. It’s your choice in which temperature you want to hold your feet. In the larger pools you can take a bath.
A separate swimming pool area belongs also to the park. Just an extra entry fee is requiered. The swimming pool gets as well the water from the hot springs. The pools are suitable for kids as well as for adults due to different water levels. For the extra wellness factor you can book a massage.
A stop at the hot springs fits well into a sightseeing tour around Chiang Mai. First visiting a temple and then taking a bath in the hot springs – who in the family says no?!
