Small fine playground in the park of the Benrather castle
The beautiful castle Benrath is always a great destination with children. It is not too big but the kids clearly recognize it as a castle. We mostly start our excursion with children right at the castle pond where always are ducks aroung.
Then we enter at the left of the castle the castle park. The park is lovely set-up with many colorful flowers. Keep to the left and after a short while you arrive the small hidden playground. It is located parallel to Urdenbacher Straße. The playground is ideal for smaller children. There are two not too long swings. One of them is also a toddler swing. There is a decent sandbox and a few rocking animals. A little bit older children love the rotating climbing carousel.
There is plenty of shadow thanks to the many trees around. And right next to the playground is a large meadow.
If you are looking for a coffee, you will get it in the Schlosscafé. High chairs are available. However, a visit to the café with children is most relaxing on the terrace in good weather.
