The local cuisine at Lenas am See is right on the water!
If we are going to the Ammersee with kids, a visit to Lenas am See is indispensable. In every season there is the finest food that the Ammersee and the region around it has to offer.
Lena, the owner, continues a family tradition with the re-opening of the restaurant. Her great-grandmother already ran a café in the same building. After the location was renovated in 2017, the Lenas am See shines in a new look. It has become cozy and bright.
Not only the ambience is right, but also the fine cuisine. Refined dishes have taken their place in the young and modern kitchen and even for the children a small menu, you find children classics dishes with a kick.
In winter you can see the lake through the large windows in the restaurant. In summer there is a holiday feeling when the tables are moved next to the lake and you can enjoy food and wine there while the children frolic on the large meadow. A special highlight in summer is the homemade ice cream, Lena’s specialty, which is sold in the ice cream kiosk.
By the way, right next to the Lenas am See is the Utting swimming pool. When visiting the Ammersee with children, these two favorite places can be combined excellently. Above all, the trip works without a car, because the S-Bahn stops nearby.
