Easy family hike in Vorarlberg to the jewel of nature!
A highlight among family hikes in Vorarlberg is the tour to Körbersee. The idyllic mountain lake was officially named the most beautiful place in Austria.
In fact, the mountain lake is only accessible by foot or on skis in winter. From our favorite accommodation in Warth, walk from the village center to the Hochtannbergpass stop. If you arrive by car, you can also park at the Hochtannbergpass parking lot.
From there, you first walk towards the Kalbelesee, which is also picturesquely beautiful, but still quite close to the road. Then it goes right into the middle of the mountains and after a short piece uphill you can already see the Körbersee in all its glory in front of you.
In the summer, you can go swimming and even take a rowboat out on it. Directly at the lake is the Berghotel Körbersee with restaurant. There are drinks to warm up and cool down – depending on the weather, and numerous dishes from the region.
After the kids have played extensively around the lake, it’s time to slowly head back. For the outward and return journey of the family hike in Vorarlberg you should plan about 1.5 hours, before it goes back to the pool or the playground in ALPIN.
