Tuscany beaches for families at Castiglione della Pescaia
If you are looking for beaches in Tuscany, we recommend a trip to Castigliano della Pescaia. The small fishing village is ideal for a family trip, because in addition to a great beach, you can eat delicious fish, go for a walk, visit the castle or just enjoy the dolce vita while the kids play.
The place is located directly at the water. You can stroll along the water, past many small boats until you come to the small red lighthouse. Looking up from here to the hill, you can see the medieval castle that overlooks the village.
The beach starts right at the lighthouse. There are some Bagni with beach chairs and umbrellas but also in between free beach sections. Right at the beginning of the beach promenade lies the Bagno Il Faro. Here the kids have a small playground to play and a trampoline. So you can enjoy the cappuccino or an aperitivo relaxed.
If one continues the beach promenade, you will find the bagno Skipper, a delicious fish restaurant. The terrace and the associated beach section are maritime in blue white. The food tastes good. Kids can play around freely. Inside the restaurant, a door in a lighthouse leads to the toilets, which has delighted the children.
When passing through the village there is a large car park at the roundabout. Here you can park the car well. It is an ideal starting point to either take a walk to the castle (recommended without stroller) or in the other direction to the beach.
