Playing means diving in the world of fantasy!
The Toy Museum in Salzburg is an absolute adventure for children when visiting the city of Mozart.
The three-story house is designed just for the fun of our little ones. It got everything that children can imagine for creative play. On the ground floor there are play stations with a large Brio railway, a room dedicated solely to the marble, the oldest toy ever, children’s balance and a cozy playroom where children can make their own toys from wooden parts. Hot tea, juices and water can be taken from a small counter for free. Parents come to rest as well.
The next floor introduces the story of the toy. Old dollhouses and cuddly toys stand alongside modern toys as we know them today. Everything can be recorded and touched. Different play stations always draw the children’s attention.
In the fairytale section, small wooden houses invite children to listen to fairy tales. In the library, the whole family can relax with a book. Cushions and a large sofa are available for reading or self-reading.
On Wednesdays a puppet theater takes place and is very popular with all generations.
There is no restaurant or café in the museum but there are several rooms where people can eat and drink
