Breathe deeply in the French city park!
The Jardin du Luxembourg is like immersing yourself in authentic and more relaxed Paris. On the large green areas you can have a picnic, make yourself comfortable on the famous green chairs or watch the small boats on the pond in front of the Palais du Luxembourg. In between, food trucks find their place and bake, for example, fresh crêpes and waffles.
The fun and games offered for kids are are huge. French story classics are performed in the puppet theater. Even if you don’t understand French, it’s worth a visit to see the handmade puppets and sets. A nostalgic carousel makes its rounds and children can collect rings with a stick.
Children have fun in the large playground, which was built according to ecological standards. The playground is really well done for French standards, there is even a kiosk and a drinking water fountain as well as toilets in the fenced playground area. A large slide, balancing course, a ropeway and many smaller playground equipment in the sand make, excite all children. However, you have to pay an entrance fee. 3 euros per child and 1 euro for adults are very fairly calculated.
We love spending a whole afternoon in the park. It’s the perfect destination to get some rest after sightseeing and keep the kids happy with fun and games. The pros bring baguettes and wine.
Around-the-corner tip: Just a few meters from the Jardin du Luxembourg is the Georgette restaurant. With kids you are welcome and within minutes a dish that tastes children is conjured up in the kitchen.
