The best thing about the hike through the Tscheppaschlucht: at the end you will arrive at the family-friendly inn “Deutscher Peter”. This is not just any inn, but is extremely child-friendly with a playground directly adjacent to the small terrace and a small petting zoo with donkeys, goats, llamas, geese and other animals. The remarkable thing is that the inn has been family-run for over 500 years.
Culinary delights include tasty Carinthian cuisine, ranging from various snacks, pasta and spinach dumplings to roast delicacies. And they carry our favourite ice cream from Carinthia, the Krappfelder ice cream.
From here the bus transfer back to the parking lot of the Tscheppaschlucht starts. The bus leaves every hour. It is precisely because of this option that the hike in the Tscheppaschlucht can be easily mastered with children.
