Beautiful pony farm right next to the Niendorf enclosure!
Pony riding with kids is always a highlight (at least when they love horses;-). But of course you only want to offer it to your children when you know the animals are treated well there. This is the case at the Ponyhof Niendorf. Here they take lovely care of the ponies.
At weekends it’s the best to arrive early in the morning. So you don’t have to wait long. A registration is not required. Just join the little queue of waiting people until it’s your turn. The kids can chose between a small or big round. We recommend the big round, because it goes beautifully through the forest. The big round takes about an hour, the little 20-30 minutes. It is your part to guide the pony along the signposted circular path while the child is sitting on horseback.
Don’t forget the proper riding equipment. Bring a bicycle helmet (if no riding helmet is available), long pants and hard shoes.
The pony farm is located directly at the Niendorfer Gehege, which is also a great destination for kids.
