On the trail of the Ice Age in the Massiger Gorge at Lake Starnberg.

The Maisinger Gorge in the Fünf-Seen-Land in the middle of Upper Bavaria was formed during the last Ice Age. The leisurely hike with children through the gorge has a wide range of experiences to offer the kids and one thing it definitely won’t be – boring. The family hike is therefore also suitable for kids who do not yet have much hiking experience. A nice inn with Kaiserschmarrn and a playground awaits you halfway through the hike.

Family hike around the picturesque Eibsee!

With the Zugspitze and a great mountain panorama in view as well as the turquoise-blue water, holiday feelings arise directly at the Eibsee. It is not for nothing that the Eibsee is also called the Maldives in Bavaria. The best way to start a hike with children around Lake Eibsee is from the Zugspitze cable car parking lot. From there, follow the signs to the lake, where the tour begins. Many travel guides recommend walking counterclockwise around the lake, as the view of the Zugspitze is particularly magnificent. We decided to go the other way so that we could walk in the warm midday sun for a long time. Almost the entire route you have the highest mountain in Germany in view. No matter which side you start from.

Hike to the Feldlahnalm in the Chiemgau region with children!

Passing waterfalls into the hut paradise for children! The ascent to the Feldlahnalm with children will definitely not be boring. The entire route runs along the Hammergraben. That means continuous rushing water and happy splashing in the ears. The Hammergraben arouses great interest among the children. The water gushes at the small waterfalls, elsewhere you can descend and splash in the water with your hands or even climb a bit on the large stones in the stream. There is definitely plenty of variety to keep the little hikers happy.

Hike at Tegernsee with a gigantic panoramic view!

Your kids and you are already used to one or the other hike and walking altitude meters is easy for you? Then be sure to tackle the family-friendly hiking trail from Gmund am Tegernsee to the Gasthof Neureuth or the Gindlalm. The ascent is about 5 km long and takes 2 hours. For us, the hike is one of our favorite tours, because the view and the panorama of Lake Tegernsee, with which you are rewarded, is simply magnificent. The hike starts at the Gasse hiking car park. From there you just follow the signs to Neureuth and Gindlalm. The climb goes well and it takes stamina. Our trick for hiking with children, with friends it is much easier.

The best destination for hiking with children above the Schliersee!

The hike is suitable for children, only runs along the road for a bit in the lower part and has a doable length of one hour. The Schliersbergalm is the ideal driver. Once you’ve reached the top, it’s pure Eldorado for kids. Not only does the Schliersbergalm have a great playground at the edge of the forest, where the slide goes between the trees. There are also several large children’s trampolines with a wonderful panorama over the Schliersee. There’s also the Alpenexpress. It’s great fun, especially for the kids. It takes them up and down the hilly terrain in front of the Schliersbergalm. The summer toboggan run is completely different. Here, even the adults get more into the swing of things. The children can go along in combination with an adult, great fun for everyone in the family! And the descent is no longer necessary!
