Kids friendly museum – Huge underwater world in the middle of Vienna!
When you see the tall, narrow building you would never expect the gigantic underwater world which is hidden inside. It’s amazing! Kids can see fish and marine animals in all variations, colors and sizes. The numerous aquariums and water basins are huge.
A highlight is the Atlantic Tunnel. By walking through it, it almost feels like being part of the underwater world. You get views that are normally reserved for divers. Also the porthole into the basin of the sharks provides fascinating insights. What a luck, that thick glass is in-between!
Reptile and amphibian lovers like the big number of snakes, turtles and frogs. In summer, some of the turtles live on the warm roof terrace. So cool!
Next to the many marine life there is in addition a tropical house, which is located in the glass extension. Here you get a real jungle experience. All animals are completely free in the tropical house and you walk right through them.
A visit to the House of the Sea can be ideally combined with a stop at the playground in Esterhazypark, which is located right next to the Aqua Terra Zoo.
