A visit to the Portuguese capital can be perfectly combined with a stay on the Atlantic coast. Two or three days in the city are also fun for the kids! Lisbon with its historic streetcar, the delicious Pasteis de Nata and the pretty alleys with small stores and cafes has also a great charm for families. Umbria is pure Italian love and simply a great destination for a family vacation in Europe. In the region without sea, there is all the more nature to admire. Our favorite place is called Borgo Castello Panicaglia and is a family-run design hotel, freshly renovated and equipped with all sorts of amenities for families. There’s a playground in the woods, a spacious pool, activities for the kids, and during truffle season, you go on a search with an expert. In addition, the hotel has an excellent restaurant. On the table are exclusively dishes with ingredients from the region, which the chef personally selects. Enjoy a holiday with the family in South Tyrol
In the heart of the South Tyrolean Age Valley, Lana, South Tyrol’s most important apple community, enchants with a unique combination of Mediterranean and alpine influences, adventure, culture, nature and enjoyment. Now there is even a new explorer card, printed on apple paper, for the children. It is filled with the most beautiful favorite places in the summer months. From the natural swimming pool, a winery with a labyrinth and a family alm on the local mountain, everything is included.
To stay overnight, we heartily recommend the Hotel Schwarzschmied in the village center. The whole house is a feast for the senses. Every corner, no mat it, is furnished in an atmospheric and thoughtful way. This creates an atmosphere that is second to none. Then there is the picturesque pool, where you can watch the sun swim in the morning as it slowly rises over the mountain top. The Atlantic coast of Brittany is very popular on our list of the most beautiful destinations for family holidays. Swisstainable Kids, that is the name of the brand new holiday program in Switzerland, which takes place at certain times in the REKA holiday villages Disentis in Graubünden and Sörenberg not far from Lucerne. Nature plays the main role. Together we go into close contact during gold panning, experimenting with the water cycle or in a treasure hunt for the hidden rock crystal. Not too often do we fall in love with a town as quickly as in Rovinj. You can stroll along the waterfront always with a different view of the harbor, the old town or the open sea. Here and there a small island lies off the coast. The town has preserved much of its originality. And yet some numerous cafes and restaurants invite you for a cappuccino, an aperitif or a meal. Almost adjacent to the old town is a huge natural park Golden Cape, where there are numerous bays. Everything can be reached on foot, even with kids.
