Excursion destinations with Burgenland charm: happy kids, relaxed parents

The easternmost province of Austria has a lot to offer families. There’s something for everyone here, from exciting bike tours and action-packed days out at an amusement park to exploring historic castles, relaxing in thermal spas or canoeing on the beautiful Lake Neusiedl.
But before we get started, I thought it might be helpful to give you a little bit of information about Burgenland. The easternmost part of Burgenland was only granted to Austria in 1921. This makes it Austria’s youngest federal state. It’s well connected to Vienna, Bratislava and Graz, and it has 300 days of sunshine a year and a mild Pannonian climate, so it has a southern atmosphere. It’s home to the largest steppe lake in Central Europe as well as the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel National Park and six other nature parks.
In this blog article, we’ll be looking at the top 10 places to visit in Burgenland with your family.
