Skiing fun for the whole family in the family ski area at the Birkenlift in Seefeld in Tyrol!
The clearly arranged family skiing area at the Birkenlift is an excellent place to teach your children how to ski. There are several different ski slopes that can be used depending on the level.
For the very fresh ski beginners, the small area with the magic carpet is ideal. Here there is only a small slope and the ascent is easy thanks to the magic carpet. Nevertheless, there are small well-padded obstacles that can make learning exciting. If you want to make it even easier, you can of course start by walking a few meters up the slope and then glide down to get a first feel for the skis.
The next step up is the long conveyor belt through the tunnel. This takes you up the slope quite a bit. The descent is wide and has only a slight slope, so it is ideal for the fresh skiers to gain confidence.
Those who feel confident on the boards can use the drag lift as the next step. At the top of the lift station, the magic land awaits the young skiers. Magicians, witches and other magical artists are floating around and act as slalom figures as well as witches’ brooms and the like.
At noon, the Birky-Mausi drops by. The children are thrilled. Especially since she hands out gummy bears, which the hard-working racers are very happy about!
All those who have only come along for the ride (for example, for a younger sibling) usually end up sooner or later on the sun terrace of the Birkenlift. From here you have, in addition to the sun, especially a super view of the entire lower part of the slope. The menu is manageable, but the hot chocolate tastes all the better for it!
You can also take a stroller-friendly walk through the snowy forest. To do this, take the “Triendlsäge” path from the P3 parking lot. After a few meters you will come across a farm with organic alpacas and a small farm store.
It is especially fun to end the day in the family ski area with a round of snow tubing. On large tires you go down a tubing track, which is located just to the right of the conveyor belt! Huge fun!
There is plenty of parking available. The parking spaces are well signposted, in the immediate vicinity of the Birkenlift and free of charge!
