What we particularly appreciate in Innsbruck is the direct route into nature. Just a few steps in town and you reach a stop of the Hungerburgbahn, which takes you straight into the wonderful mountain world. The ride is an experience for the children. It goes at lightning speed over the Inn and steeply up the mountain. In less than 10 minutes you are up there, i.e. you have arrived at the terminus of the Hungerburgbahn.

From there the hike to the Arzler Alm starts. A beautiful forest path, which is nicely shaded in summer, leads over 3 km to the Alm. The narrow hiking path over roots and wild berries along the way is almost a bit magical. The ascent is partly steep, but after a good 45 minutes you reach your destination, the Arzler Alm.

You can relax and take a seat on a large sun terrace. The children will probably only make it to the table later, because the exciting-looking wooden playground is waiting for a first test. With a view of the valley, Tyrolean cuisine tastes even better in the hut.

From there it goes downhill again to Innsbruck. Hard-working hikers can also make a detour to the Gramarthof and treat themselves to a homemade ice cream.

For us just the right hike to arrive in town with enough strength and muse for a delicious dinner.
