Original Cottage with a huge playground!
After a hike, nothing beats a stop in a traditional alpine cottage and trying all delicacies of the region. The restaurant Grander Schupf is just such a place and offers some amenities for families. That is why children enjoy it as much as their parents do.
The alpine cottage is located at the middle station of the Eichenhof lifts. The cottage can be reached by car. However, we recommend that you leave the car at St. Johanns Valley Station and take the short climb (about 40 minutes) through the forest to the cottage. This is the best choice, when with smaller children. With little older children, a hike over the Eifersbacher waterfall is very nice.
Once you have arrived in Grander Schupf, the children enjoy the great tree houses, the suspension bridges, the big trampoline or, in the rain, the playroom, which you can reach by legendary means of a slide into the cellar. While the children are on a journey of discovery, parents can take the opportunity to taste the delicious food, a glass of wine or homemade cake on the sun terrace.
