Ljubljana Castle is impressive for its size and location alone, as it towers majestically over the city. At the top of the castle, it stands out due to its good preservation combined with successful modernization. Many parts of the castle can be visited and give an insight into the life of the past. For children, the castle tour is designed to be child-friendly, with the Burgratte Frederick appearing again and again on posters and experiencing scenes from the long past time.
It is a great pleasure to climb the Burgturm. From the top you have a fantastic view in every direction. And in contrast to many other observation towers, there is also some space upstairs and you can show the children everything exciting in peace.
The inner courtyard of the castle invites you to linger, when in between all the impressions have to be processed.
The ascent to the castle is also possible on foot with children (and prams). Alternatively, the modern cable car is a great highlight to get up or down. Through the floor-deep windows of the cable car, one gets a breathtaking view of the city.
