Family excursion to the Weleda experience center
The WELEDA Experience Center is an impressive destination for families. With children you can enjoy a visit to the nature’s variety. As longtime Weleda fans, our kids already knew some products and it was interesting to see where and how they are made.
In the middle of a biotope with more than 250 different plant species and a total size of more than 20 hectares, the Weleda plant in Schwäbisch Gmünd is playing a big part in the production.
Visitors learn interesting things about the philosophy of the company. Particularly impressive is the harmony of humans, animals and nature, which Weleda implements in every part of the company. Waste products get recycled, wastewater gets processed and no fertilizers are used. Weleda also pays huge importance to the cosmic forces.
Children and parents immerse themselves in a whole new world and collect knowledge about plants during a tour through the herb garden. This is especially exciting for children older than 4 years. The plants can’t be touched, since some of them are very poisonus. Only skin contact can cause poisoning symptoms.
Every day there is a nice children’s program. We made hand soaps and mixed them with scents and plants we prefered.
In the Café you find sweet treats, coffee and tee. Visitors to the Weleda experience center can shop at the adjacent shop with a discount of -20%. The Weleda range also includes pharmaceuticals. These are not sold in the shop.
