Small and fine family ski resort for winter vacations in Austria with kids!
On the Postalm, Austria’s largest alpine landscape, the purest snow fun awaits. The small, fine family ski area in Austria is located between Woflgangsee and Lammertal and is easily accessible by car.

A few meters from the parking lot (P1), the perfectly groomed slopes extend into the mountains. There is the right slope for every ability. Playfully, the little skiers can learn to gallantly descend the slopes either on their own with their parents or in a professional ski course. For this purpose, in addition to the beginner’s slope with magic carpet, there are also somewhat more challenging slopes with fun elements such as a wave run.
A particularly practical feature is that all the runs lead back to the starting point. So the overview is never lost and the kids can go off on their own from a certain age. In addition, thanks to the many lifts, there are hardly any queues to get in. So you can make the most of your valuable time in the mountains.
But that is by no means all. Tobogganers, tourers and cross-country skiers get their money’s worth on the Postalm as well. This means that every member of the family can pursue the winter sport they like best.
For lunch, everyone can then meet for your Einkehrschwung in one of the beautiful huts with charm. We can especially recommend the Stroblerhütte. By the way, the natural toboggan run also leads back to the parking lot from there.
After a successful day in the snow, it’s just a few minutes back to Bad Ischl to our favorite hotel, the Goldenen Ochsen. There, the warm pool is waiting the children and the beautiful wellness area for the parents.
