Waves and Boutique Vibes
Press stay: We were invited to spend 3 nights at the Lindian Village All-Inclusive Resort Rhodes.
The drive south from Rhodes Town already feels like the start of something slower. Just under an hour later, the resort gate opens to reveal a Mediterranean village maze of whitewashed cubes, narrow waterways, and blooming bougainvillea. The concept: all-inclusive, but à la carte. In the evening, you book your favorite table; during the day, you help yourself to cool drinks without a fuss. As a family, you slip straight into holiday mode.
Location
Just a stone’s throw from the Aegean Sea, the resort sits on the quieter south coast of Rhodes. The water here shimmers in shades of emerald and cobalt, and the rocky bay offers crystal-clear views all the way to the seabed. Walk across barefoot in the morning and you’ll still feel the coolness of the night in the pebbles before the sun gently warms them. It’s a two-minute stroll from your suite to the sea. And if you look closely, you’ll spot the little watersports center tucked just behind the rocks.
Suites & Rooms
The architecture is designed to blend in and disappear. Each low-rise building houses just four suites, but with staggered entrances, evergreen hedges, and private courtyards, it feels like you have the place to yourself. Our River Passage Pool Suite became a private splash paradise, while linen fabrics, natural stone, and soft earth tones brought a calm, boutique feel. Every detail inside is thoughtfully placed. Outside, the terrace calls—and more than once, the first move of the day was a jump into the pool before anyone even said, “Breakfast?”
Kids
At the Waves Kids Club, little adventurers can join archaeology treasure hunts, Quidditch nights, or escape games—so no one’s really thinking about screen time. Two lifeguards keep a watchful eye at the main pool, giving parents the rare joy of diving into a few uninterrupted pages of a good book. When hunger strikes, kids can head to the food truck for fries, burgers, or just a dose of good vibes. In the afternoon, they’re shaking mocktails like pros, mixing up Red Passion creations and feeling suddenly very grown-up. And when the sky turns pink, everyone gathers on the tennis court, playing together to the rhythmic bounce of the ball and the last light of the day.
Wellness
Behind honey-colored doors lies the Calli Spa—a cocoon of soft light and lemon balm scents, where skilled hands melt away tension. Each massage is tailored like a favorite song, and at the end, herbal tea with honey from the resort’s own beehives awaits. Strolling slowly through the palm garden afterward, you’ll swear the day just doubled in length.
Dining
Mornings at Etlas Restaurant begin with islands of Greek yogurt, warm spanakopita fresh from the oven, and an espresso that smells like the perfect start to a holiday. By midday, the heat calls for something light—maybe a quick snack from the food truck or a simple pasta dish by the pool. As the sun dips lower, Era Ora transforms into a true Italian trattoria: the scent of pizza fills the air, the sea glows silver, and kids dangle their feet in the water. Just above, Alas serves meze that taste of oregano, lemon, and long summer nights. Later, everyone gathers in the main square—for sushi at Niku, a scoop from the gelateria, and a signature drink at the Bliss Bar while the first stars start to sparkle like confetti in the sky.
Out & About
If you feel like venturing beyond the resort, hop aboard a glass-bottom boat and marvel at the turquoise palette Rhodes paints beneath the waves. A little later, the Acropolis of Lindos rises dramatically into the sky—kids gaze in awe at the white houses clinging to the cliffs while parents muse about ancient goddesses. Back at the resort, the afternoon might hold a windsurfing lesson, a sunset sailing trip, or simply a quiet walk along the pebbled shore.
