PLAYGROUND IN HERRSCHING AM AMMERSEE

Kids playground with a fantastic view in Herrsching at Ammersee!

If you want to take an uncomplicated trip from Munich, for which not too much time is needed, we like to drive to Herrsching. In about half an hour drive you are there. Parking is available at multiple spots. We often park right next to the playground (address below). So the kids can play around and the parents enjoy the view of the lake. The view is gorgeous and when there is good weather you can even see the mountains in the distance. The playground itself is not the newest, but individual elements have already been renewed such as one of the climbing frames or the toddler swing. Kids love the numerous climbing opportunities, of which there are unusually many. The highlight, especially for the older kids, is the zip line, with which you can glide directly towards the lake. Also the classic elements of each playground such as swings and sandpit are available. If you’re lucky, the small coffee stand on the edge of the playground is opnened, so the coffee supply is secured.

Continue on the beach promenade. There are no cars at all, so the kids can keep up with their wheels or scooters while you take a walk along the lake. After just under a kilometer, there are already various rest stops from the Bavarian inn, the ice cream parlor up to the upscale cafe. We prefer to fortify ourselves in Matos fish shop. The fish fritters are freshly prepared and taste delicious, with a glass of wine or a Flensburger aus’m Norden and a place to grab, which have almost all direct views of the lake. And for the kids, there are plenty of opportunities to play with the pebbles on the water. Much more is not needed to spend a wonderful day!

Those who want to make something bigger out of the excursion to Herrsching can, of course, visit the not far away monastery Andechs, from where Herrsching leads an easy hike.
