TOBOGGAN RUN SKIRESOURT HÖRNLE
Small, nostalgic ski area with a long toboggan run
On a nice winter weekend the danger of a traffic jam at the arrival and departure of ski resorts is very high. A very good and guaranteed jam-free alternative is the ski resort Hörnle. You can experience a nice winter day with the kids and even start late in the day.
From the parking lot, a nostalgic two-seater chairlift leads to 1,400 meters. The lift staff is very friendly. It is easy to get the kids up the mountain. Just take them on the lap.
Once at the top, the children can romp in the snow. Directly at the mountain station is the mountain hut DAV Hörnlehütte. Here you can warm up. The hut even has a kid’s corner with many children’s books and games.
The absolute highlight is the 4.5-kilometer toboggan run. If you do not have your own sled, you can borrow one at the valley station. The toboggan run is very varied and offers fun for all ages.
At the end of the valley station, the cozy Guggenberg Alm invites for a stop. You can warm up comfortably at their wood stove. The food is delicious and fresh. The owners have small children and therefore know what children are looking forward to. So a large selection of children’s toys is available.
