The final stretch of the hike takes you through the quiet village of Pöcking. After a quick turn onto the main road, you’ll spot Gasthaus Georg Ludwig. It’s the perfect place for a relaxed family break: there’s a spacious playground and traditional Bavarian dishes – including the best mashed potatoes around!
No fries on the menu here, but tasty kids’ meals and seasonal specialties like wild garlic dumplings make up for it. A must-try to end the day: their fluffy Kaiserschmarrn.

After a well-earned break in the beer garden, you’ve got two options: head straight back – or make one last stop at Lake Maising. Right by the water, the Maisinger Seehof awaits with another idyllic beer garden and a peaceful lakeside vibe.
