You will find a hiking experience where even the little ones can get a taste for it on the Hocheck in Oberaudorf. Because hiking is accompanied by many attractions and activities for children. It starts with a ride in the chairlift to the mountain station, where you want to take the first break. A wild animal enclosure with chamois is a magical attraction for children. The animals are trusting and like to be fed with tufts of grass they have picked themselves.

A few meters next door is the gold panning facility, another highlight for the children. Fresh water flows in the channel of the gold panning system, which the children use to dig for sand. Then patience is required, because it takes several washes to finally discover the gold or stones in the gold panning pan or the gold panning troughs. For 4 euros you can buy a packet of sand with stones or fool's gold at the valley or mountain station.

At the mountain station there is also a Kneipp bath and large sun loungers, much to the delight of the parents. Because once the gold panning is done, the children only have eyes for the playground. And you can see it from the deck chairs.

So that hiking is not neglected, it goes directly to the summit cross. That is a good kilometer to run and therefore can also be done with baby carriers or small children. On the way you meet even more animals and dwarf stories along the way. Once at the top, a wonderful view beckons. With a telescope you can take a close look at the mountains opposite.

For lunch, it's a good 20 minutes downhill to the middle station. Shortly before that, turn right to Wenger Stadl. There are various delicacies, cakes and homemade milk drinks. While the children play on the meter-long wooden ball track and romp around in the playground, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the midday sun.

The summer toboggan run starts down from the middle station. It's incredibly fun to race down the mountain on the Affenzahn track. Exactly the right ending for a trip to the mountains with children.
