DEUTSCH MUSEUM WITH KIDS IN MUNICH

Which area we especially like in the Deutsches Museum with kids!

Probably Munich’s most famous museum is a true classic and worth a visit with kids of all ages. For small kids, there is an extra “children’s kingdom” in the Deutsches Museum. Here all kids up to eight years can try themselves out as little scientists. The eye-catcher is a giant guitar, which can not only be played but even walked on. There are also lots of building blocks, ropes and trains to experiment with. Thus, the children’s kingdom turns into a huge indoor playground for kids.

But the other areas of the Deutsches Museum are also well suited for kids. The huge mining exhibition in the basement will amaze kids. Here they can discover in the dim light how underground drilling and hammering are done. All exhibition areas have interactive explanation boxes. Just by operating the numerous buttons and levers of the boxes, the kids enjoy the knowledge transfer! Demonstrations worth seeing take place every day. For example, the demonstration of a high-voltage system shows how to experiment with lightning. The kids are fascinated. For this demonstration, however, they should not be very small anymore.

Especially on weekends or during vacations, the Deutsches Museum is often very crowded with kids. To save yourself long waiting times, we recommend online tickets. By the way, it also works if you download the required app while you are already in the queue. That’s still faster than standing in line!
