Dolce Vita at Wörthsee with children!
The Wörthsee is the lake where we go when we need a short refreshment. From Munich, you can get there quickly by car, since you especially don’t need the busy A8. On site at the lake promenade, however, the parking situation is limited, so it is worth being there early. Or you can take the S-Bahn to Steinebach and walk a few more minutes down to the lake.
Once at the lake, there are two options for swimming. Either you go to the lido Fleischmann. It was recently renovated, has a large sunbathing area, a jetty that leads into the water and, for a lakeside resort, an extensive restaurant.
However, we usually walk a few meters further along the footpath by the lake and then come to the large meadow at il kiosko. A kiosk of a special kind, because here you can get chips and curry sausage, pizza, salad or grilled calamari. The fresh ice cream tastes great. In terms of both food and drink, you can be well catered for here if you don’t have your own things with you. There are also toilets and showers here. The infrastructure is therefore excellent. The meadow offers a lot of space to settle down. However, the shady places are rare, so a sunshade is good.
In the back there is a fenced playground. A great change from swimming. But the main attraction is of course the lake. The kids love that the lake goes in shallow. So they can stand in the front part and play with the little stones. As parents, you can easily sit on one of the many thick stones to keep an eye on the kids. Since the Wörthsee is not particularly deep, the water temperature is quite pleasant. All those who like to swim should definitely get out on the lake to swim. The panorama is magnificent and even more so, the feeling of liveliness that sets in!
