The family-friendly Aumeister beer garden in the English Garden is a great destination!
You’ll find the Aumeister beer garden tucked away in the northern part of the English Garden. The best way to get here is by bike, as the route to the Aumeister takes you through the most beautiful part of Munich. It’s also easy to get there by car, and there are a few paid parking spaces.
The playground is just off to the side of the main area and is enclosed by a fence. There are a few benches where you can sit and drink beer, and they’re mostly occupied by families. It’s also a great place to keep an eye on your kids. The kids love the different play options, including a seesaw, a turntable, a swing, a little house to hide in, and a large climbing tower with a suspension bridge. One thing the kids really love is the small nostalgic carousel and toy car right in front of the playground. Both start moving as soon as you throw a coin in. This is where many kids test how generous their grandparents are.
As well as the playground, the Aumeister beer garden also offers a wide selection of food and drinks. Typical Bavarian dishes such as pretzels, Obatzda, sausages and chicken are on the menu. There’s something to suit every kid and of course ice cream for dessert.
