Not far from Salò, Gardone Riviera is home to the extraordinary Vittoriale degli Italiani park. The park is situated in a stunning location and has great attractions. You can see a variety of sculptures and plants, a small arena and as a highlight for the kids a big old war ship. You have the feeling that the ships is about to set sail into the lake although it is on top of a mountain.
Thanks to the many exciting things to discover, you can barely notice the numerous steps and vertical meters that you cover during your visit. Only usually at the end you can feel it in the legs. For the small kids, you should take a carrier. Admission for adults is not very cheap, but children up to 6 years are free.
