Just a few kilometers from Lake Garda and our favorite spot, the Mill di Veraghi, the medieval village of Molina offers a great hike along waterfalls for families. There’s plenty to discover along the way, because in the village, which is secluded from any hustle and bustle, nature sprouts as far as the eye can see.

The car is best parked at the church in the village (Via B. Bacilieri, 45/43, 37022 Molina) and walk the path through the small streets to the waterfalls. Once you leave the village, the path descends steeply and the narrow path is framed with rocks. After a few minutes you reach the main entrance.

There you buy the ticket and get a map with the different routes in your hand. There are three paths through the park to choose from, which differ in length and difficulty. Depending on age and condition, everyone decides for themselves which one fits best.

All paths lead past the cave from the Stone Age. This is protected with leather scraps and shows the kids how life looked in the many years ago in the middle of the mountains. Through the shady forest it goes further down the mountain and towards the sound of water. After a few minutes the first waterfall is visible and so it goes on from now on. Over bridges, suspension bridges over the water and along paths along the water. So the running is really easy and soon you reach a swing, with which you fly in the direction of the waterfall flies.

The last part is uphill again. Before the exit there is a large picnic area to rest. If you want, you can go for a walk in the village. We didn’t discover a nice restaurant in Molina itself, but by car you can reach the Albergo Ristorante Breoniso quickly. The restaurant makes a robust impression, but the homemade pasta speaks volumes and should definitely not be missed.

The waterfall park in Molina is a perfect destination for families on Lake Garda to create some variety on vacation. Also, the great winery of EL CITERA is not far.
