Anyone who makes their way to Wäldele does not end up here by chance, but quite intentionally. The Café für Dich at Naturzeithof is one of those places that feels like a small reset for the soul. Nestled between lush meadows and the edge of the forest, the café sits quietly above Hirschegg. A small and charming family retreat where both adults and children slip into relaxation mode the moment they arrive.
A delightful snack, homemade cake, and honest organic goodness
On the terrace, dishes clink softly, somewhere the scent of freshly baked apple cake drifts through the air, and elderflower lemonade sparkles in the glass. The menu reads like a small promise: organic snack platters with alpine cheese, a vegan soup of the day with garden herbs, seasonal salads, sweet cake classics fresh from the oven, and children’s plates that truly make sense, healthy, colorful, and prepared with plenty of care. Everything comes from organic farming, and the menu is entirely vegetarian, with a vegan option available most of the time. Instead of rush and noise, you will find genuine dedication here, served with a smile that comes straight from the heart.
Petting rabbits and running wild through the play area
Right next to the café, rabbits hop around in their enclosure, and the sheep and ponies are not far away either. Children can watch them and pet them too if the animals are in the mood. Those staying overnight can join Matthias in the barn in the evening, where children can get up close and even help out. In front of the café there is a natural wooden playground with a water pump and plenty of room for imagination, sliding, balancing, and digging.
Apartments with mountain views and the joy of slow mornings
If you do not want the afternoon to end, you can simply stay. Directly above the café are four apartments designed for instant relaxation. Light wood, soft linen fabrics, large windows, and a private sauna make this retreat perfect for a peaceful getaway with children. In the morning, a breakfast basket filled with freshly baked rolls awaits at the door. Everything is thoughtfully designed close to nature, from the soap in the bathroom to the choice of bed linen. Sustainability here is not just a concept, but part of everyday life.
