The Heidialm is a great destination for families in every season. We were at the Falkertsee during the most unfavorable season, where autumn turns into winter, and still it was wonderful. The Falkertsee was even frozen due to its size! So there were already first children with skates on the lake. The water is so clear that even when it was frozen you could see the stones on the bottom.

The slopes were already snowed in preparation for the winter. It is a small ski area with 2-3 lifts, but just because of that it is ideal for little ski bunnies who are just starting to ski. Otherwise, the Gurktaler Alps invite you to hikes from easy (for example the hike on the ridge) to challenging (incl. via ferrata). So there is something for everyone!

The Heidialm itself is located at another small lake right next to the Falkertsee. A theme path invites you to take a walk. The playground has extra swings and a climbing tower with a great view. In summer there are even pony rides.

At the inn Seehütt you find delicious local food and a magnificent sun terrace!

In any case we will come back in spring or summer at the latest. By the way, there is another favorite place, the Almdorf Seinerzeit, very close to the Heidialm and the ideal accommodation to stay for a couple of nights.
