Climbing and swinging fun on the playground at Lake Wörthersee in Pörtschach!
In Pörtschach the playground at the Wörthersee guarantees family fun with various climbing options and the huge swing. The climbing course offers suitable climbing challenges for children of all ages. With the climbing wall, rung ladder, fire brigade pole or climbing net, it does not get boring. Younger children enjoy the numerous balancing options. They can choose between wide and narrow, steep and low beams and of course whether with or without parental help;-)
The swing is big enough that the whole family can sit on it! What a fun to swing towards the sky with a view of Lake Wörthersee!
The distance between playground and lake is just perfect. You can enjoy the view of the lake but the playground is still at a safe distance to the lake. A visit at the playground can well be combined with a stroll on the headland, passing the lake shore, the boat dock and the reed. On the way to the jetty you find a second playground, which is smaller and especially attractive for younger children.
If you want to make your playground visit to an excursion then you arrive by boat. From Klagenfurt it takes you about 55 minutes to Pörtschach Landspitz. From the boat dock to the playground its just a few meters to walk.
You can get an ice cream or a coffee right opposite in the Café Strandleben. Those who want it more exclusive, go a few hundred metres further towards the main road and stop at Jillys Beach. On the floating terrace of the Jilly Beach, you feel as if you are on a boat on the lake and the food is excellent!
