The Familywald on Lake Ossiach offers many attraction for families. An adventure trail leads up the mountain. There are many playfully designed stations, so you don’t even notice the few meters in altitude. The path leads past a wooden ship construction, a wooden music station and in between there are information boards and wooden games that also invite you to stop.

You get a first feeling of forest bathing while walking over the suspension bridges of the tree top walk. The high viewing platforms offer a crazy view into the treetops.

Once you reach the top, you discover the highlight of the Family Forest: the treenets. Huge nets are stretched between the treetops and open up new spaces between the trees. It is a very special experience. Walking over the nets from one platform net to the next is a a great experience. There’s even a slide that connects the nets of different levels. It is huge fun for adults and children as well.

The fancy forest playground at the top of the Familywald has plenty of benches available for snacks and many more climbing opportunities for kids. Downhill you can either walk or take the great Fly-Line. For an extra charge, you can get climbing equipment for the Fly-Line. The fastest way to go downhill.

The Family Forest at Lake Ossiach is easy to do with younger children. Ideal is an age as of three years or older. Older children, appreciate the Climbing Forest next to the Family Forest. Secured with professional climbing equipment, you move over suspension bridges and the like from one platform between the trees to another.
