Setting off with a curious mind

Once you’re at the top, the tour begins nice and easy. The Dolomieuweg leads over the Teissljöchl—a family-friendly circular trail with soft forest paths, the scent of pine in the air, and rustling bushes that spark the curiosity of little explorers and send them off on a nature scavenger hunt.

Lunch break by the trout pond

After about an hour (including a few play and lookout stops), you’ll reach the Edelweißhütte, where the highlight of the day is waiting: a small mountain pond teeming with trout. And yes—everyone who wants to can fish their own trout! If you catch one, it’ll be freshly prepared and served right to your table. For kids, it’s pure magic.
While the trout is sizzling in the pan, there’s plenty of time to play and cuddle some animals: right next to the terrace, there’s a small playground and a bunny enclosure. The sun warms your face, the smell of butter and lemon drifts over from the kitchen, and happy laughter echoes from the swings. Simple moments, truly special.

Kaiserschmarrn with a view

Next stop: the Ladurnerhütte, about 20 minutes further down the trail. It’s the perfect place for a sweet reward: Kaiserschmarrn just the way it should be. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with or without raisins, dusted with powdered sugar and served with a smile.
Just around the corner, the mountain carts are already waiting…

Speeding downhill on three wheels

To top it all off, there’s an extra shot of adrenaline: mountain carts! With wide tires, reliable brakes, and loads of fun, you’ll race 6.5 kilometers down the mountain. Around tight bends, across open meadows—sometimes slow, sometimes fast.
Kids over 150 cm can even take the wheel themselves after a short intro. Helmets are provided on site. Wind in your face, a shout of joy on your lips—this is what alpine adventure feels like.
