Sleep between mountains and firs in the Bregenzerwald.

The former farm, which could not be preserved in its original form, became two beautiful vacation apartments called HALWINA. Edith, the hostess, has thus made a true declaration of love to her grandparents and the Bregenz Forest. The soothing view of the mountains, the loving breakfast service, the sauna in the house, the cozy tiled stove are just a few examples of the great ambience at HALWINA. And with that, you immediately get to enjoy unique vacation relaxation.

Hiking vacation in Carinthia in the National Park

The Fraganter Schutzhaus offers hut flair with a modern twist on a hiking vacation in the Hohe Tauern National Park. With children it is great to hike to the Frappanter Schutzhaus, as the hiking trail has only a few meters of altitude. Arrived at the hut, the large panoramic window of the dining room offers a magnificent view of the mountains, if you do not immediately take a seat on the terrace. No matter where you sit, the food tastes excellent and some things like lettuce are grown on site.

The real cabin adventure begins in the evening when it’s time to go to the bunk beds. Our kids love it. The fact that the hut is lovingly set up for children with high chairs, diaper changing facilities and cribs makes many things easier. From the Fraganter Schutzhaus you can make nice little day hikes, so you don’t have to make the descent the next day.

Family-friendly boutique hotel in Austria’s capital

In a 19th-century townhouse, spread over five floors, is the Boutique Hotel Altstadt Vienna. The owner of the hotel is an art lover and decorates the walls with contemporary art from his collection. For every guest, big or small, Hotel Altstadt Vienna feels like home. At Altstadt Vienna, all 62 rooms are quite different, but have one thing in common. Each room has been designed by a local artist, fashion designer or architect. Each thus lends Hotel Altstadt Vienna its own special charm. For example, one room with a mountain backdrop is reminiscent of Tyrol, or another was furnished by fashion designer Lena Hoschek with opulent curtains and a handmade bed landscape.

A dream for families in Bad Gastein

Haus Hirt is a very special favorite place of ours and a recommendation from the bottom of our hearts. We are connected to Haus Hirt not only by the fact that it was a favorite place of the urban kids from the very beginning, but also by the unforgettable vacation days we have already spent there. Small and fine, the hotel is located in Bad Gastein, Austria, with a magnificent mountain backdrop. A stay at Haus Hirt guarantees relaxation from the first moment. Tasteful design, outstanding wellness and spa treatments, delicious cuisine and uncomplicated hospitality are just a few of the highlights of the hotel, which pampers families in all areas. Haus Hirt loves children. Here they know what children need and this is skillfully implemented: interesting workshops for cool kids & teens, a loving toddler program on various dates and even a babysitter on request.

Time out with the family at Thierseerhof

Not far behind the German border lies the Thierseerhof. The family-run hotel offers relaxation for the whole family. Large, bright rooms, delicious Austrian cuisine, pool and spa, as well as the local mountain right outside the door make a stay here a real family treat. In recent years, the entire hotel has been renovated. The result is a successful mix of modern and traditional elements. The entire hotel is very spacious. One appreciates that with children.

The rooms radiate a lot of coziness thanks to pine wood, a tea bar and a tiled stove. The new spa area also makes its contribution to relaxation.  The fact that the Thierseerhof is extremely fond of children is evident from the fact that many a wish is read off the nose of the children and also the parents. This is what relaxation feels like!

Between nature and city flair in Bad Ischl

In the former imperial town of Bad Ischl, a special refuge for families has been created between small-town flair and mountain worlds. Verena, the new manager, took over the Hotel Goldener Ochs from her parents and brought her own style into the house with a lot of love and charm. Strong, harmonious colors run like a red thread through the house even into the spa area. Her latest work is the Traunvilla, a hotel building with a direct river view. And best of all: Families and the youngest guests have their permanent place. On the second floor of the main building, for example, there is an area with a cozy winter garden where cozy sitting areas and toys await the offspring. In addition, children’s portions are served, and a crib is placed next to the parents’ bed at no extra charge. Kids are just as welcome in the restaurant as in the bar, where there is even a play corner, and in the wellness area.

Citytripp to Salzburg with kids

The Auersperg Hotel & Villa shows that city vacations and Kids go together perfectly. The great attention to detail can be felt everywhere at the Auersperg. The design between modern and classic is tastefully met. Everyone feels at home in spacious family rooms. In a play area of the hotel, children can choose toys to take back to their rooms. The rooftop spa, besides the great view, offers everything you need to relax after an exciting day in the city – sauna, steam bath, massages and the possibility of yoga. The hidden large garden with its own beehives is a nice place for families, especially in summer. For us it is clear, the Auersperg touches its guests in the heart, soul and palate. Auersperg means coming home.
