In the heart of the stunning East Tyrolean mountains lies the Hotel Tillga Glück, a cosy little refuge run by a warm-hearted family. Since they took over in 2019, they have lovingly renovated the hotel and adapted it to the needs of modern guests. Each room has its own unique charm and has been lovingly designed.
The name ‘Tillga Glück’ came about by chance after the hotel was taken over. But for the family, it symbolises the happiness they feel at being able to call this special place their home. There are small details throughout the hotel that reflect this happiness – such as the box in the wardrobe, which reminds everyone to take their time and enjoy the moment.
Rooms
We have a lovely selection of rooms for you to choose from. You can opt for a classic hotel room or a spacious flat. The rooms are really spacious and flooded with light, and lots of them have balconies with lovely little swings that are just perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. If you’re travelling with a larger family or two groups of friends, the flats with their own kitchen are perfect! There’s plenty of space for everyone. This is the perfect place for large families to live and cook together!
Kids
We have lots of fun play areas for children, like the one under the stairs! We love having younger guests here! It’s also because the lovely host family has four children of their own, who you’ll get to meet from time to time. There’s even a small outdoor playground for the kids to enjoy, while the adults can relax in the wellness area with an indoor pool, relaxation room and sauna.
Food
Breakfast at the hotel is a real feast, with regional specialities and lovingly prepared delicacies. Dinner is not available at the hotel, but the host family will be happy to help you discover local restaurants. One recommendation is the Gasthaus Unterwöger or the Hotel Weiler, both just a short walk away and ideal for getting to know the regional cuisine.
The charm
At Hotel Tillga Glück, every day is a chance to feel happy. There’s a special tradition at three o’clock in the afternoon where a gong sounds and guests are invited to experience a moment of silence and relaxation. Hotel Tillga Glück is more than just a place to stay – it’s a place that combines hospitality, a close connection to nature and personal commitment.
Our top tip for you is to take the mountain railway up to the Kindermeile and enjoy a hike between mountain panoramas and exciting play stations. It’s particularly practical because you don’t need a car to get to the mountain railway – it’s easily accessible on foot.
