DASA WORLD IN DORTMUND FOR KIDS

Adventure world for all ages – the DASA Arbeitswelt exhibition

DASA is not a typical museum. Here kids are motivated to participate and play in the exhibition.  Many topics that are already familiar to the youngest from everyday life can be experienced first-hand. How does a fire engine work? What are the steps to produce fabric?

Great are special exhibits that call for the interaction of visitors. Kids are getting motivated to engage in drawing, cutting or sticking things. Depending on their ages, the support of adults is more or less wanted or needed.

The highlight of the museum is the outdoor play area for children in the courtyard: an exact copy of a construction site. Here the children can become masons, roofers and construction workers. They find the needed equipment such as work gloves, helmets and shovels in child-size in a trailer nearby.

There are often special exhibitions dealing with new topics, so visiting never becomes boring.
