When looking for a charming inn in Disentis, we came across the Stiva Grischuna restaurant rather by chance and were thrilled. This over 300-year-old Graubünden house not only offers authentic Swiss hospitality, but is also mentioned in the Michelin Guide – and quite rightly so.
The cosy, wood-panelled rooms radiate an inviting atmosphere. And on cold days, the old tiled stove provides cosy warmth. Villagers and tourists alike meet here.
The cuisine of Stiva Grischuna attaches great importance to down-to-earthness and regionality. Traditional Swiss dishes such as cheese fondue and capuns – a specialty from Graubünden, in which chard leaves are filled with a savoury dough – are on the menu.
The seasonal adjustment of the menu ensures that fresh and local dishes always end up on the plates. There are also special, child-friendly dishes for the little guests.
