NEW from summer 2026: Wolli’s Kidspark right at the hotel
Right in time for the start of the school holidays in July, the Hotel Matschner opened its own large outdoor playground, and it’s a real winner. Wolli’s Kidspark features a double zip line, a giant trampoline, a climbing tower with a tube slide, a hillside slide, various swings and a marble run. And for the perfect muddy “Matsch(ner)” fun on warm days: its own water and sand play area.
The best part: the kids play right outside the door while you relax on the balcony or watch over a coffee. The way to the next adventure could hardly be shorter.
Rooms: freshly renovated and family-friendly
In 2024 all the rooms were completely renovated, and you feel it right away. Bright colours, welcoming materials and a feel-good atmosphere make your stay especially pleasant. Ideal for families: there are spacious family rooms with separate sleeping areas, stylish suites and apartments, many of them with a balcony and a view that instantly sparks that holiday feeling.
A little extra on top: every room comes with a capsule coffee machine, the first refill is on the house, as is a bottle of Thalheimer water.
Cuisine: regional, delicious, relaxed
The food? Really good. You start the morning with a generous breakfast buffet that has everything to make small and big gourmets happy. In the afternoon there’s a coffee and cake buffet, and in the evening a 6-course menu with choices: meat, fish or vegetarian, all freshly prepared. Children get their own menus, and special requests (allergies etc.) are no problem here.
Wellness: a break for the grown-ups, splashing fun for the little ones
A real plus: direct access to the public Dachsteinbad. Just slip through the corridor in your bathrobe and you’re in the indoor pool with a children’s pool, sauna area and fitness zone. Perfect for grey days or winding down in the evening after a mountain adventure. Parents relax, kids splash, that’s how you get balance in a family holiday.
All around: a full load of adventure
The region around the hotel is made for little explorers and big nature lovers.
