A Place for All Seasons

Whether bathed in summer sunshine or dusted with winter snow, Loosbühelalm is worth a visit year-round.

In summer, idyllic hiking trails and thrilling mountain bike routes invite you to explore the alpine surroundings. The sound of cowbells and the scent of fresh alpine herbs accompany you along the way.

And in winter? The alpine hut transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Choose between snowshoe hikes, thrilling toboggan runs, or scenic ski tours. For families, there’s even a convenient winter transport service that brings little adventurers directly to the alpine hut—comfort doesn’t get better than this.

Sleep Amongst Pines and Larches

The Loosbühelalm is not just a place to visit—it’s a place to stay. Nine charming rooms crafted from pine and larch wood create a warm atmosphere with alpine charm.

For those seeking something truly special, there’s a beautifully designed hut where you’ll feel closer to the stars than ever before. The serene silence of the mountains at night, a sky full of twinkling stars, and the gentle morning light streaming through the window—these are priceless experiences.

Wake up to the soft sounds of nature and the irresistible aroma of freshly brewed coffee—a start to the day that touches the soul.

For the Kids

Children will absolutely love Loosbühelalm! While the little ones run wild on the adventure playground or make new friends in the petting zoo—meeting goats, rabbits, and more—parents can relax on the sunny terrace, soaking in breathtaking mountain views.

It’s a place where everyone can feel at home and live fully in the moment.

Culinary Delights

One of the best things about the alpine hut? The food!

As a certified GenussHütte (Gourmet Hut), Loosbühelalm is known for homemade specialties crafted with love. The culinary experience becomes even more authentic with products sourced from the farm itself—featuring fresh milk, pork, and goat cheese, all prepared in a warm kitchen throughout the day.

From freshly baked farmhouse bread and creamy alpine butter to hearty goat cheese—you’ll taste the region with every bite.

How to Reach Loosbühelalm

Your alpine adventure starts at the Grund parking lot in the Ellmautal. From there, a well-marked hiking trail leads directly to the hut.

The route covers approximately 3.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 452 meters and takes between 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. The hike is ideal for families with children aged six and older who have some hiking experience. Several shortcuts through the forest make the path even more exciting.
