Your kids and you are already used to one or the other hike and the covering of altitude meters is easy for you? Then definitely take the family-friendly hiking trail from Gmund am Tegernsee to Gasthof Neureuth. The ascent is about 5 km long and takes 2 hours. Currently, if the weather is good, you’ll be greeted at the top with the aroma of good Bavarian cuisine and sweet Kaiserschmarrn. Family-friendly hike to the crocus meadow on the Heuberg to the Daffnerwald cabins
The hike with children up to the Daffnerwald alpine pastures first leads past the Duftbräu waterfalls. After 20 minutes you already reach the first play attraction. A large meadow with a stream is made for the first break. The following part of the hike is more varied with changing gradients and runs mainly through the forest. Over tree roots and protruding stones some climbing skill is required from the little ones, but also gives proper incentive. At the top, the alpine pastures with their to-go food and drinks await the hardworking hikers. Natural paradise on the way to the Siebenhütten alpine cabin
The short but beautiful hiking trail to the Siebenhütten cabinFamily-friendly hike to the crocus meadow on the Heuber to the Daffnerwald alpine pastures is ideal for a varied family hike. From the parking lot, follow the signs to Siebenhütten. It goes over bridges, past forests and always along the river Hofbauernweissachbach. During the hike, children can climb down small paths to the river again and again. This is exactly the kind of variety and entertainment that encourages children to persevere during the hike. After about 1 hour (with plenty of breaks by the water) you reach the alpine inn Siebenhütten. Just you can treat yourself to a snack to go here if the weather is nice. Break for connoisseurs in the Altes Wallberghaus at Lake Tegernsee
This mountain pasture has done it to us. Recently, the mountain hotel with restaurant was renovated and now enchants with modern Bavarian charm and mountain panorama, which you can enjoy on the sun terrace. The Alte Wallberghaus can be reached after an approx. 2.5-hour hike with children from the Wallbergbahn valley station. On Saturday and Sunday there is the finest take away. Hot and cold drinks, warm soups and of course Kaiserschmarrn.
Past the waterfalls to the Feldlahnalm in Chiemgauer Land
The ascent to the Feldlahnalm with children will definitely not be boring. The entire route runs along the Hammergraben. This means the continuous sound of water and happy splashing in the ears. The Hammergraben arouses immense interest in the children. At the small waterfalls the water just gushes, elsewhere you can go down and splash with your hands in the water or even climb a bit on the big stones in the stream. The to-go menu at the Feldlahnalm (which is currently only available on weekends) includes typical Bavarian snacks, soups and homemade cakes. Hiking at Spitzingsee to the Obere Firstalm
The hike to the upper Firstalm we know only from the deep winter, because can be combined hiking with children with a rapid descent on the toboggan. In summer, however, the hike is also a highlight and not only because of the Kaiserschmarrn that waits at the top as a reward. The hike starts from the parking lot of the Stümplfingbahn (free of charge) via a well-prepared hiking trail up to the Obere Firstalm. As walking time you should calculate with children about 1.5 hours.
