The highlight of the House of Mountains is the exhibition “Vertical Wilderness”. This leads visitors in an impressive staging from the valleys up to the peaks of the Berchtesgaden Alps. In different thematic areas you can go on a virtual hike through the various habitats of the mountains.

With its interactive exhibition on the Berchtesgaden Alps, the Haus der Berge offers many opportunities to deal with nature not only in sunshine, but also on rainy days. A visit to the connected cinema is particularly recommended, where films and documentaries about the region are regularly shown, such as an impressive documentary about the life of the bees. After a cosy snack in the café with a view of the mountains, you are perfectly prepared for the next nature adventure.
