The Allgäu holiday apartment we’d move into without hesitation

Honestly, Hoimat is that rare Allgäu holiday apartment with kids where we couldn’t find a single “but.” Not one, big or small – simply none. A brand-new mountain hideaway where we felt completely at home from the very first minute. So cozy, so thoughtfully designed, and wonderfully laid-back that we didn’t want to check out again.
Everything flows seamlessly here: the keen eye for design, the loving details, and the warm-hearted hosts. Warning, spoiler: this post comes with a serious risk of falling in love.
Location
Hidden in a peaceful residential neighborhood in Pfronten, the Hoimat Apartments offer a favorite view of the Allgäu Alps. From here, everything is within reach: a morning visit to the organic bakery in town, then off to the Breitenberg Cable Car, or a bike ride through lush green meadows.
On top of that, the KönigsCard is included with every stay. With it, you can enjoy over 200 leisure activities free of charge. Mountain lifts, swimming pools, museums, or e-bike rentals – simply check in, get going, and experience the Allgäu at its best.
Living in aesthetic Alpine comfort
In the six Hoimat holiday apartments, design and coziness live side by side – accessible either via the classic front entrance or conveniently through the garage. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the thoughtful attention put into every detail. Warm wood meets clean lines, a harmonious lighting concept blends with carefully curated touches.
The heart of each apartment is the open living area with plenty of space to come together. The kitchen is fully equipped – with everything you need for a relaxed breakfast or a cozy dinner together. And for a little luxury in between: a wine fridge stocked with selected drinks on an honesty-bar basis – just help yourself, enjoy, and make a note.Especially lovely: the bathroom features a private sauna – complete with Primavera care oils. Afterward? Relax on the built-in lounger, breathe deeply, and simply do nothing.
Those who enjoy their first morning coffee on the balcony are treated to birdsong, fresh mountain air, and sunshine slowly creeping over the peaks – all included.
Hoimat also shines in its flexible room layouts: depending on the apartment, the bedrooms come with a separate children’s room, a cozy sleeping nook, or an optional extra bed. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with a baby, teenagers, or the whole family including grandparents, this Allgäu holiday apartment with kids adapts to you — not the other way around.
Playground with a covered seating area for parents
At the back, there’s a small but charming playground featuring a spring rocker, a large sandy pit, and a slide house. Right next to it is a covered seating area for the grown-ups. Coffee in hand, watching the lively play, maybe having a good chat – or simply doing nothing – because that’s allowed on family holidays too.
Surroundings
The Allgäu shows its most beautiful side around Hoimat – and most highlights are just a few minutes’ drive away: whether it’s the Falkenstein Castle ruins, the numerous lakes, Neuschwanstein Castle, or, in winter, the nearest ski lift.
