This tip comes from the dear Julia, owner of the B&B Kammer in Unterallgäu.

We start our tour directly with us in front of the Kammer and walk first to the historic railroad bridge. Here you can plan a “walk underneath” and walk on the small “secret path” to the Illerstrand – that’s only a few meters. At the Illerstrand you can swim (the good swimmers, because it is about to go steeply into the water) – stretch your feet into the cold wet, float boats, bounce stones, or whatever else comes to mind. We find it simply always beautiful there.

But now continue on our tour, we run a piece of the Glücksweg along – on the Illerradweg – from the historic railroad bridge always straight through the forest to Abzweigung Maria Steinbach or Lautrach (who likes to run a smaller round, turn right here and go to the Kneippanlage and via the village Lautrach back to Illerbeuren. All others walk straight on to Ampo. At the meadows you will see cows grazing, you can discover or “need” stones, sticks, flowers or other things with which you can surely do something nice after your tour.

In Ampo once the small mountain up and over Maria Steinbach (who likes looks here still the wonderful BarrockKirche) back into the forest. In the forest the hunter stands discover / count until you land at the Juchhe. (Here you can sign the summit book) – Admire the magnificent view over the Illerschleife to the reservoir and take the descent to the railroad bridge. Treppenstufenzählen, or look forward to the cool water. At the bottom you can go to the Iller beach and then back to the chamber.
