Christmas spirit guaranteed for young and old!
Just outside Munich is the idyllic Advent market Forsthaus Kasten. There is little ordinary here. There is delicious food, delicious mulled wine or apple elder punch and many varieties of handmade stollen. The lovingly designed market stalls display a wide variety of handicrafts. The Christmas atmosphere is accompanied by festive music played by a small brass band.
There are plenty of highlights for children. St. Nicholas regularly drops by with Knecht Rupprecht, asks the children the obligatory questions and hands out small gifts. In addition, children can ride ponies or be pulled by a pony in a small children’s carriage. In the animal area there is a living nativity scene to marvel at. The children’s program is rounded off by a fairy tale tent and other small attractions. Of course, there is also a great playground and low temperatures or first snowfall will hardly keep a child from playing.
The Christmas market is open the first two Sundays of Advent and the third weekend of Advent.
