Walking along the “Waalweg” paths is especially enjoyable if you can look forward to a nice inn for your lunch break. The Haidenhof is one of those inns you can look forward to visiting very much. It is run by the friendly family Erb, and you and your family will feel at home here from the very first minute of your visit. You can sit in the shade under an arbor of vine leaves on long beer benches. If you like to sit in the sun, you find tables and chairs in the back part of the inn on the lawn.
The menu concentrates on warm dishes typical of the region with a variety of „Brotzeitbrettln“. We recommend choosing the dish of the day. And if in season, do not miss to try the apricot dumplings.
Kids love the animals that roam everywhere. There are chickens, cats, a farm dog, peacocks and a few goats in an enclosure. The playground is small, but has everything (with a slide, swing and sandpit) kids enjoy very much. And parents can enjoy the breathtaking view of the vineyards on the hills, the towns and villages in the valley and the high mountains in the background.
